Waiting and a Wedding

Well ,I have held off on posting because I was hoping that Josh would be able to do a post about the project. However, He has been very busy lately with the second bid! I will say what I know about it but that is not a lot. The first go around brought three bids that were too high. Also Pastor/Engineer Philip did not turn in a bid because of the constraints of the bid. He is the favorite of the locals here at the orphanage. So it was decided to rebid the project with labor only and in two phases. The hope is to save money by purchasing materials ourselves so that there will be no mark up. Another hope is that there will be enough money to complete what is now Phase 1 - the front and the back of the wall. This time Pastor/Engineer Philip did turn in a bid along with two other companies.

So today Josh is in Manila to meet with the engineers and architects at Forsman. The hope is that a contractor would be chosen today or tomorrow. We also are praying that there is unity in the decision. This has been such a lesson in being patient and waiting on the Lord. We knew that things would go slowly when we got here but did realize how slow! Hopefully Josh will have time to post soon about all the details.

Last weekend Clara was the fruit bearer in a wedding of a friend that we met the first time we were here. It was really fun and she had so much fun. Here are some pictures from that day.
