Family Trip

On April 18th we were able to take a short family trip to Manila. We left right after lunch and headed down the mountain. Josh needed to visit a place that does galvanizing to see if they would be a good choice for the metal grills that will be on the front of the security wall. The main reason for the trip, though, was to see my cousin, Hannah. She is in the navy and her ship was in nearbye Subic Bay.

We spent Saturday night at the Christ to the Philippines guest house. It was really nice and only cost $8 a night per adult. The kids were free. Then on Sunday we went to the Mall of Asia where we were to meet Hannah. Unfortunatly we arrived two hours before the mall opened. It was next to Manila Bay and we took the time to get pictures of the kids first time to see the ocean. I think that they were a little disappointed as we didn't see any sharks and it was not a place to swim. There was also a nice playground area for the kids to play. We had fun while we were waiting even though it was very hot.

Here we are at the food court enjoying seeing eachother. Hannah grew up in Fairfield, Montana. She had her boyfriend John from Texas and two other friends with her too. It was so fun to be able to talk to all of them.

We also got to go to Pizza Hut Bistro. That supreme tasted so good!
After a couple hours in the mall with Hannah we headed back up to Rehoboth Children's Home and back to work. It was great to spend some time together as a family and crazy to see someone from home in the Philippines.
